Gun Dog 'Humanity'
Gun Dog was a Japanese nu metal band formed in 2000, featuring K (vocals), ATSUSHI (bass), MZK (guitar), Chihei (second guitar), and YUSUKE (drums). The band released their only full-length studio album, Humanity, on May 21, 2003, through the Japanese label VAP Inc.
Humanity consists of eight tracks and runs for approximately 31 minutes, showcasing Gun Dog’s aggressive yet emotional take on early-2000s nu metal. The album blends heavy, groove-oriented guitars with intense rhythms and expressive vocals, highlighting the raw energy and darker themes that characterized the genre at the time.
The release of Humanity marked the peak of Gun Dog’s career and established the band within the Japanese nu metal scene. Although their activity was short-lived, the album remains the core release of their discography, laying the groundwork for the later success of vocalist K, who would go on to form Pay Money to My Pain after Gun Dog’s disbandment.
