Singlethreat emerged in the early 2000s in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, featuring Don MacIntosh on vocals, Fox Kevin on guitar, Derek Grint on bass, and James Lee on drums. Their sound blended nu metal and alternative rock, combining heavy riffs, intense melodies, and introspective lyrics.
In 2003, they released an early version of The Loudest Part of Silence with rawer production and several tracks that captured the band’s essence in the local scene. The official 2004 release brought refined production, new mixes, and additional songs, though two tracks from the 2003 edition were omitted to create a more cohesive album.
The record solidified Singlethreat’s identity, balancing aggression and melody, and has become their most representative work, earning a place as a cult classic in the Canadian underground nu metal scene.

Coilbox nació en 1999 tras la disolución de 3 Million Eyes y rápidamente destacó en la escena madrileña gracias a su demo producida por Luis Tárraga (Hamlet), sus potentes directos y su paso por Festimad 2001 junto a bandas como Slipknot, Biohazard y Muse.
